Unlike previous years, this year’s venue was borrowed from “Takanosu Higashi Elementary School” in Chikusa-cho, Shiso City!The experience of camping, BBQ, and playing in an closed school building was very valuable for the adults as well. I was surprised to find such an interesting facility in Shiso City!

Well, the second part of the event finally started!
Due to rain, the event was suddenly held in the gymnasium.

The president began greetings with speeches and followed introductions of the employees.
This bike meeting is the only time that employees who normally work within the company can come in contact with customers.
It was a very enjoyable experience to talk directly with everyone who came to the event!

The annual award ceremony was held!

This year’s Distant Award was presented to two people from Niigata Prefecture.
We are very grateful to them for coming from Niigata Prefecture to Shiso City, a long distance of about 690 km!
The man on the right is a regular participant who came from Atsugi last year and was a close second.
This year, even though he had to move even further away to Niigata for work, he kept his promise to come back and participate again. His enthusiasm and passion touched our hearts!

The final event was a bingo tournament! The prizes were local specialties and not-for-sale Okubo goods.
When there was only one prize left, the participants were asked to play rock,paper,scissors.
The loser got an unexpected gift from the president!
This part of the event was probably the most livening up! lol

Let me tell you a story that was introduced during the event.
Mr. S, a regular participant, joined us this time. However, a friend who usually came with him passed away this year. Before his friend death, he promised his friend, “Let’s participate in the Yamamaruto Bike Meeting again this year”. So, he came from Okayama prefecture to keep his promise.

Hearing this story, I was moved by the passionate friendship through bike.

Also, all the kitchen cars came all the way in the rain.
This time I actually requested to ask the kitchen cars that I was interested in to come to the event!
All the dishes exceeded my expectations and I would like to go back again!

・Nichikore Pastry
This store is located in Shiso City, which is famous for rice-flour pound cakes and lemon cakes. Actually, my sister is a regular customer. LOL!

・Ringo no Futaba
This omelet shop is run by a happy couple. There were so many varieties that I was lost, but I ordered the “Kansai Omurice” recommended by the wife! This is for Kansai people!

・BurgerKAMONE
A hamburger shop that we only see once a month. I was surprised by the taste I had never had before. (Actually, it is a secret that I went there for the second time…)

There were many unique motorcycles with various arrangements, which were a lot of fun to see! We were able to talk to many people during the event and had a fulfilling day.
