Departing early in the morning to participate in the Tour de Tohoku 2025 “Kesennuma Oya Coast Fondo” held on September 14, 2025.
From Himeji Station, I transferred at Shin-Osaka and headed straight for Tokyo.
My bicycle travel companion was the RK-03DR.
I transferred to the Shinkansen at Shin-Osaka Station and headed to Tokyo.
I got my ice cream as smoothly!
From Tokyo Station, we just drove straight toward Ishinomaki in my friend’s car.
(Last year’s trip was crazy busy with a broken helmet and car tire issues, but this year we made it smoothly.)
When we entered Tochigi, it was lunchtime! I thought, “ Of course it’s got to be gyoza!” and ate a hearty serving of dumplings.
We arrived safely in Ishinomaki and checked into the hotel!
I was relieved to know I could bring my bicycle into the hotel room!
After unpacking and relaxing a bit, dinner with the crew who always rides the Tour de Tohoku!
I ate heartily, fully recharged my energy!
This time, I’m the only one signed up for the 190 km race; the rest of the members are participating in the 100km.
…Lonely…
Eat heartily, rinse off in the large public bath… then sleep… zzz
